I am sure that I am not alone in this, but I hate Rules! I am the kind of person that just tries to do what is right, without having to follow any stupid, stinkin’ rule! Unfortunately, there are those that will not do what is right, even if there is a Rule!

I am sure that you have noticed that I have been sending out a weekly email titled: New User Weekly Update (Read This)

What this is all about is pretty simple, new members not following the RULES! I hate having to send this email, it is a pain in the butt to have to be like a Daddy telling the kid what to do!

New Members Must Surf! This is a biggie, when a new member registers, they are required to view at least 100 pages to get their sites activated, but, from now on, there is a time limit! New members must surf those 100 pages within 2 days! That is more than ample time, it only takes less than an hour, so get surfing, those members that haven’t surfed the required amount, within that time limit will be deleted!

That is what was written previously as the Rule about new members not surfing, but this “2 Day” requirement is too hard for me to keep up with, so, I am changing it to this. Every Tuesday I will send out the above mentioned email warning new members that they must surf the required 100 pages or their account will be DELETED in about 24 hours if they do not surf.

Hey, I am a nice guy, this site is here to help everybody, I don’t want to delete or suspend any sites or accounts, but I have to, it would be unfair to the members that do surf if I just activated everything! Most of our new members do surf at least the required 100 pages, but every week I have about 3 or 4 that don’t, and most of those register over the weekend, usually Friday night for some reason, then never come back!

I send out a welcome email, most of the time, and warn them at that point, and most do come back and surf, but, those few that don’t clutter up my control panel and make it a pain in the ass to even look at the other new sites, so, every Tuesday afternoon or night, I will be sending this “Last Chance” email, then after 10pm, central time, on Wednesday night, these “Inactive” members, will lose their account. I am sorry to have to do this, but that is the way it is, if you want to be a member here, Welcome to the Team! Just like any team, there are always those that get cut, it is not personal, it is just for the good of the team!

The records are being broken, this screen-shot is from a few days ago but is a good representation of what is going on here! We are staying pretty consistent, Great Job!

As I promised, I sent out a bonus to everyone for a job well done! The actual high water mark is 314,186 Sites Shown, so, where can we go from here? Well, I imagine after all of this effort dedicated to TrafficComplex, many of you may need to focus on your other traffic exchanges so we could have a bit of a slow-down, but I hope not!

The next goal is 350,000, that is an extra 35,874 or just over 5000 a day more to get there. Those of you that are super-surfers, great job, but pretty much everybody pitched in, those of you that didn’t, you know who you are. Just imagine, if ALL of us surf the way that many have, that 350K hits will be easy, so, come on everybody, log in, allocate credits, and surf! We can do it!

I noticed a few days ago that traffic has gone up, way up! Now is the time for everybody to come surf and we will hit a new milestone!

The sky is the limit, and we have set off a nuclear blast of traffic! If you are a member and have not allocated credits to your site, you are missing out!

Traffic has more than quadrupled in the last few days and if we all keep working, we will set a new record!

The picture at left should help explain it, but if you are not a member, then you are missing it! Sign-up, surf and get traffic!

For a very limited time, I am increasing the bonuses, like through the weekend, sign up, refer, and go nuts!

Yeah, I am crazy, just looked at the stats and went nuts! ALL BONUSES are up, from now until I sober up, probably Monday, new members will get a special sign up bonus, AFTER surfing 100 pages, until that, your sites will not be activated and you will not see the credits! If you surf 100 pages, you will get the regular 3000 credit bonus, BUT, if you surf 200 pages after signing up, I will slap you with 5000 credits!

NEW MEMBERS THAT DO NOT SURF, WILL NOT BEACTIVATED!

For our current Team members that get referrals during this time, that also surf, there will be a special bonus for you too! NO CHEATING, I am watching!

You may ask how I am determining the member that I highlight? Simple, it is random, as I am looking through the stats, and I see that someone is surfing and has incredibly high page-views, then that is the one I will write about! Don’t worry, if you surf a lot, I will find you!

Maybe some of you can exchange links with each other? I am working on getting an awesome plugin to work that will enable you to do the same with this site, automatically, but there is still a little problem, it doesn’t work yet!

Recently there has been a lot of new members trying to get sites with auto-play sounds approved, but, sorry, that will not happen if I can help it.

What I define as “Auto-Sound” is quite simple, it is any sound, from anything, that automatically starts when you visit the website. If the site has a “Click here to listen” option, that is ok, but not anything automatic!

First, you may wonder why these sites have sound, that is simple, it is kind of like when you are watching TV and then the commercials come on, louder than the show you were watching! It is to get your attention and make you look at the site!

Second, you ask why these sites with “Auto” sound are not allowed, this is because NOBODY wants to hear it! Most surfers are trying to surf, and don’t want to be bothered! Imagine, you are surfing at night, while sleeping, then some site pops up with a blaring announcement, or cha-ching cash register sound, or worse, and it wakes you, or your family up! I heard one on another site the other day while surfing and it was a very loud ‘HEY WAKE UP” along with some sort of sales pitch for a get rich quick site!

Most people that have ever had this happen know exactly what I mean! It is an unneccesary noise! For those of you that want to add one of these sites, there are many traffic exchanges out there that allow it, I WILL NOT! All that happens is that it makes others mad, not to mention me! If you have a traffic exchange that allows these sounds, post the info in a comment so these people can find you. Just know, that when I get slapped in the head with such noise, I stop surfing, even during the day, I don’t want to hear it and neither does anyone else!

I have never seen a site using this tactic that was worth listening to anyway, I am here to surf and get traffic, not to hear some sales pitch! So, turn the sound off, or make it an option for those that may be interested, or DO NOT SUBMIT IT HERE! If one slips through, usually by adding the sound to a site after it has been approved, please submit an abuse report, or make a note of which site it was, which browser you are using, and email me, or use the contact form, and I WILL SUSPEND THAT SITE! Sorry, don’t want to upset anybody, but that rule is not flexible!

Here we go again, another week gone by and our stats are getting better! We are now up to almost 60 members and the referrals are coming in!

Yes, as is with all traffic exchanges, we have those that sign up yet do not surf. Why do they sign up? This I can’t say, but even with those members that don’t get involved, things are moving steadily forward and we have some great members on our team!

We still haven’t hit that 150K mark, but look at how close we are! 148023 sites shown! With our membership at about sixty, that comes out to around 2500 per member, per seven days! That is about 350 pageviews per member, per day! Which, with 169 sites, is just over 2 visits per site per member!

Keep up the good work team, if we keep up at this rate, we could bust that 150K mark with little trouble, again, thanks for surfing!

Many of you may have noticed that the traffic exchange was down for about 24 hours, maybe you are as curious as I am as to why this happened, and what actually happened. I have no idea!

Let me tell you what I do know. There are many scripts available out there that do many different things and most of them get encrypted so that their code can’t be copied or resold, and IonCube is one of the tools that is used to do this. Once the code has been encrypted, you have to have what is called a loader, sorta like a magic decoder ring, that enables this code to be read by the server. Now, with this explained, here is what happened.

For some reason, the server could not read the code, even though the loader was there! This site is exactly like it was before, all I did was upload the code and the same loaders back to the server, and deleted and recreated the same file that tells the server to look for this loader, but it is exactly the same as it was, so you tell me what happened!

Anyhow, with all of that out of the way, many of you have come back and surfed already, but not everybody. we of course had no traffic during that 24 hours, so our stats went to heck, but that is ok, it will get back to normal soon.

Since I am writing this now, there won’t be a Friday post, this is it, so read carefully. The timer has been turned down, but the surfbar bonuses are still the same, this seems to be working out for everyone, so watch that surfbar for bonuses and build up some credits!

This isn’t a normal Friday post, there is are a few things that I need to address now, before it gets out of hand.

As the site grows, and more new members sign up, as with any traffic exchange, there are those that register just for the bonus credits, but that does not happen here! So, if that is your intention, don’t even bother to register!

It is becoming clear that there are some rules that I need to make clear, so I am doing that now! I am an easy going kind of guy, and a fellow surfer, so I will not impose any restrictions on anyone else that I won’t follow myself, it is quite simple really, follow these rules and you won’t get bothered!

1. Suspended sites will be deleted! Getting your site suspended is not the end of the world, but all sites that are suspended, from Monday through Friday, will be deleted over the weekend! Many times there are credits allocated to these sites, and if you don’t go to the Allocate Credits section and deduct them yourself, they will be lost! So, if you see that a site has been suspended, do this by Saturday at 01:00 Central time, that is when they will be deleted! Starting tonight!
2. New Members Must Surf! This is a biggie, when a new member registers, they are required to view at least 100 pages to get their sites activated, but, from now on, there is a time limit! 3. All Sites Must Have Credits! This one is the easiest to follow, with the surfbar bonuses, and the way that I hand out credits, no one should ever have a problem keeping plenty of credits allocated to their sites. From now on, sites with zero (0) credits will be suspended! (See Rule #1) Being the nice guy that I am, I may add credits to a members site, if we have had a busy night or something, but sites that have no credits for a day or two, will get suspended. You can avoid this, by simply clicking the black arrow to the right of your site and placing it “On Hold”, I will not delete it.
4. Sites that are not Allowed: If I approve a site, that later changes, and becomes a problem, or any site that violates the rules, (PTP, PTC, ADULT, NOISE, Etc.) will have a bounty on it! Yes, we need active surfers, and if you don’t feel that your site breaks the rules, submit it, if it is only marginally a violator, I will approve it, but, if it gets reported by 3 members as a problem, it will get suspended, (See Rule #1), no, this doesn’t mean that I want everybody reporting every site they see, just those that are a problem. After a site has been reported by 3 members, I will look at it, if it is a violator, I will issue bonus credits to those that reported it!
5. Members need to subscribe to the feed! Follow this link, SUBSCRIBE, or the one at the top of any TrafficComplex Blog page, and simply subscribe, you can do this using any reader you want, or select to Get TrafficComplex.com delivered by email, this will keep you up to date and keep me from having to send you an email! Those that don’t, won’t be getting any notifications of the contests etc., so Subscribe Now!

The goal here is to have a clean, safe, and friendly site, where people new to surfing don’t have to worry about problems, I know, many of you have sites in rotation now that are “marginal violators”, if you are an active surfer, and maybe the site is legit, I will leave it up to my fellow surfers to decide. This traffic exchange is for everybody, and can be a great community if we all work together, but, it is not entirely a democracy, I have the final say, but everyones input is very important to me, and shapes my decisions, so if you have any issues with these rules, questions, comments or suggestions, please reply to this post below by leaving a comment. Hey everybody! As I am writing this, after just checking a few stats, there is one thing I can tell you, this traffic exchange has teamwork! We have many new members, which sent about 40-50,000 bonus credits, to our referring members! Not to mention the per page viewed bonuses, right now set to .2 credits for each page view! Now is the time to join other traffic exchanges, publish your referral page, and recruit some new members!   Why that, do you ask? Simple, the fewer opportunities there are to choose from, the more likely it is that you will be the one to get the referral!

Don’t forget to bring your referral page from that traffic exchange, and add it to your list, maybe you will get a referral there too?

I have my referral page out there! So far it is on about 100 exchanges, although it is still not approved on most of those, and yes, I surf those sites regularly and have for a long time, anyway, the point being, you can get in at the ground level, and later, when it is your team members, that are generating massive credits for you and each other!

On the first level, along with the 5,000 credit bonus, every time someone you refer directly, surfs 5 pages, you get a credit, that is a .2 per page view rate, as a bonus, forever!

When that referral gets a referral, first, you get 500 credits and when that new team member surfs 10 pages, you will get a credit, and when that member, refers someone you will get 250 credits and again, every time they surf 20 pages, you will get a credit, the next one, and from there on, you will get 125 credits up front and for every 20 pages a credit! So, if, during the early days of this site, you get your referral pages out first, you will get lots and lots of free credits! I’ll put the rate list below, if that was as confusing to you as it was to me! I just reread it and got dizzy!

1. Level one Referral: 5,000 credits and for the pages they view a rate of .2 or 5:1.
2. Level two Referral: 500 credits and a .1 rate or 10:1.
3. Level three Referral:250 credits and a .05 rate or 20:1.
4. Level four through ten Referral: 125 credits and the same .05 rate or 20:1.

The point of this story is that we have some great members, working hard, long and often, thanks!

Don’t forget, send me those screenshots for the last 7 days of pages viewed on monday, and every monday from now on, and the winner will get a bonus! Ok, I told you it was coming, and here it is! Friday night is like my day off, I go to a buddies house, drink a couple of brews and just hang out, talking about his tie dyes, home brewing, and general B.S.

What does that mean to you? It means, if you surf, you will be rewarded! From the time this post goes up, until Monday morning, the surfbar bonus is cranked up to 5,000 credits for viewing 250 pages!

Surfing 250 pages may sound like a lot, but with the timer set to 7 seconds, it happens fast! So, watch it closely and don’t miss it!

Now is also a great time to get your referral pages out there, the bonus for a sign-up from your referral page is 5,000 credits! And, you get 10 credits for each unique visitor, per day, to your page! I know, your sites won’t get activated on the other surf sites tonight, but they will in the future and those bonuses are good for a while yet! I know, there are those that will refer themselves just to get the credits, don’t do it, that is cheating! Cheaters will be caught and you will lose those bonus credits!

All of those that sign up after I leave the house, and surf like fiends, will also get a special bonus! When I get back home tonight, I will be activating sites, as I do everyday, so that you will get plenty of hits to your sites this weekend. Just sign-up, surf and build up your credits, lets see if we can hit the 100,000 mark, we have been on our way to doing about 15,000 sites viewed per day, over 3 days that would be about 45,000, so, 100,000 hits isnt that far off!

There is another bonus offer, but will require some work on your part, other than surfing, you will need to send me a screen-shot of your “Hits earned last 7 days:” in your members area, I know, it’s a pain, but whoever does send this in to me, will get bonus credits, and the one that has the most, will get a 25,000 credit bonus! What does that mean? Even if you miss out on the surfbar bonus, and surf like crazy, you will get rewarded for your efforts! You can either hit the link to the abuse report on the surfbar, or go the the Complaint Department and post it there, you’ll see where to go and what to do.
