Website Traffic:What is it all about?

effort 300x280 Website Traffic:What is it all about?Today we find ourselves in an ever competitive world, every day, more and more people are turning to the internet to hunt for something, anything that can help them make a little more cash, but sadly, all they end up finding are get rich quick scams and rip-offs. Regretfully, traffic exchanges are by nature a promoter of this type of website.

Every webmaster wants to push their websites to the top of the ladder, and some will do this by hook or crook. No, I am not writing this to target anyone, but to make those that are unaware of the risks many of these websites bring.

There are sites with virus or spyware, sites that harvest email addresses so they may SPAM you to death. I do my best here to keep these risks down to a minimum, but, after they have been approved and activated, these things are added, so, they manage to slither past, but, if they stay in the rotation very long, there are mmany of our members out there that will report them and I WILL SUSPEND THEM!

Website traffic is a double edged sword, by promoting your site on a traffic exchange, you open yourself up to these SPAM and Malware sites that harvest your email address, or break the rotation to take you to a site in the quest of getting better Google or Alexa ratings, but, in actuality, many of these sites are not even taken seriously by the search engines, they are known SPAMMERS, and yes, traffic from a traffic exchange is SPAM traffic, when done in excess, I know, I used to have many sites on hundreds of exchanges, and yes, a few years ago, it did work, but not any more. Google looks at your site as a SPAMMER when it gets most of its page-views from traffic exchanges.

If, traffic exchanges are bad, why do I have one, you may be asking, because, if the traffic is of at least 30 seconds per visit, it is at least counted as a real visit, anything faster than that is not and will hurt your rating, if, it is even counted as a visit. This site was created to help “real” websites get exposure, not just traffic, unfortunately, to keep it all rolling, I have to allow some of the “other” sites, and I thank any and everyone that surfs here, and I give you my word, that the hit and run or sign-up and run members, will not get their sites activated. If you are a regular surfer, you know who you are, I do my best to keep your sites activated, I check at least once a day, if possible, but, I know, sometimes a site will be added after I have already checked, so it seems like two days, sorry about that.

My plea to you all is to keep the junk down to a minimum, I know that you have just recently signed up for some miracle website that is going to guarantee you whatever amount of money, good luck with that. I know that we all work very hard, and surfing is a pain in the butt, but, if you see a site that is interesting, take a closer look at it, there may be something there for you or someone you know. If you see a site, that you know is a scam, report it as such, I know, I got burned a couple of times myself, it happens, so, report it!

Getting traffic to a “real” website is my goal here, not to promote, or somehow endorse any of the “junk” sites that may end up in rotation here, so, be careful, think twice before you give up your money, or even an email address, it could be a bad decision.

Another important issue: If you take the time to sign-up and surf, ALLOCATE CREDITS to your sites, if not, I will delete them, if you can’t take the time, neither can I, so if you sign up, then come back and your account is gone, sorry, but I have to keep the “waiting” list clean for those that do, the list gets long, and trying to weed out those that have surf from those that have not is tough enough, and many of these that do get deleted, never even know it because they don’t come back.

Traffic Complex is having a SURF PARTY! You are all invited!

traffic Traffic Complex is having a SURF PARTY! You are all invited! What is a SURF PARTY? Well, just like any party, it is a gathering of friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and even strangers, all with one goal, have a good time!

So, if you combine that with a traffic exchange, you get a gathering of people having a good time while exchanging traffic! That is why we are all here, right?

I know that now you are wondering how we can have a “good time” while surfing? With each of us in our own little world, busy multitasking or whatever they call it these days, some of you may be thinking, “we don’t all know each other”, “Oh, help me, I might have to make a friend or something”, or even worse, come on, get over it, LETS PARTY!

Here is what we are going to do, it’s easy. Starting tonight, Thursday, all the way through Monday, the surfbar bonuses are going to be set at changing intervals, with a variety of bonus credit amounts, this will keep you on your toes! However, if you pay attention, you could get a biggie!

Why am I doing this? Well, there are a few of us that already know each other, and we all work hard to surf regularly, and I even heard that some have had personal contests to see who could surf the most! Now that is what I am talking about! Since friends hang out anyway, and I want everyone here to be friends, and to help each other improve the status of their websites. I thought, “why not have a party”?

This is why we have a Discussion Board and Complaint Department, not to mention the Quick Chat section of the site, so, let’s use them! Most, if not all of you, have an Instant Messenger of some sort, so you can contact your friends, and get them to meet here, and if they are not members, they can sign up, and EVERYBODY SURFS!

Since I am almost always on-line, all-night, anyway, regardless of what time you come by, I will probably be here, except for FRIDAY NIGHT from about 4pm until about 10pm CST, that is my weekly party with a buddy, but when I leave there, I will be here, to continue the party will everybody here!

Here is where it gets good, while I am gone, the surfbar bonuses will remain steady, but when I get back, they will start changing! How will you know what is going on? Meet me at the CHAT! I will even have the CHAT page in rotation so that you can see whats going on, so keep your eyes open!

Here is a tip, when you go to the CHAT you don’t have to register, and it will automatically assign you a user number, but, you can change it if you will simply type /nick yourusernameandnumber, into the message box, then hit the send button, it will change it to whatever you put there, so, be creative, but use your member number from the surf, so that I know who you are! Here is an example, 61ButtHead, is who you want to be, so you type /nick 61ButtHead, get it? Oh,user #61 is me, so I am not calling anyone a name!

I hope to see everybody come by this weekend, and if you find no one there, just change your username, and type a simple hello, when I see that you have been there, I will add some credits to your account, just to thank you for participating!

Oh, almost forgot, I have gotten a couple of emails that the surf rotation is stopping on you, let me help you out a bit.

First off, if you have a bad Antivirus/Spyware/Adware program, you may have a bug! I use the FREE program, Spybot Search and Destroy, to check my machine every few days! When you follow this link, you will see a request for donations, just scroll down, but if you can, DONATE! Yes, I have made a donation, probably two or three times, these guys ROCK! This program even has caught things that Norton missed! If you do have something, and the Spybot finds it but can’t get rid of it, their website is full of tips! I’ll put it this way, saved my machine twice! Once, after paying a PRO to fix it but he couldn’t, I found the answer on their site!

If you ever get to looking for a new Antivirus program, this is a great one, a little more expensive maybe, but it is worth it, I got a free year through my ISP, but will soon be paying like 3 bucks a month for it.

If you are an experienced surfer, you may already know this, but maybe this will help. You need to delete your Cache, or Temp files, along with the other junk that builds up from surfing, Cache/Temp, Cookies, History. However, DO NOT DELETE your Form Data or Passwords! You may want to save your cookies too, but I delete all of that other junk every time I re-start my computer, and I do that several times a day as well! (Go to your Internet Options to do this) Why?

Every time you visit a web page, your computer basically takes a picture of it, so that the next time you visit that site again, it will load faster. What happens is, that stuff builds up and makes your computer go slower because it is busy looking to see if it already has a cache/temp file of that site, if it has a cookie from that site, and when was the last time you were there! That is a lot of extra effort, and since auto-surfing is looking at hundreds of pages, over and over, it causes a problem and brakes the rotation by taking too long to reply to the server and drops the connection to your machine! Happens to me with dial up sometimes because the dialup is slow, but I can see that happening.

You may have gotten an email from an admin at another exchange telling you that it is because of sites with zero credits, and they may be right, but I have tested TrafficComplex by creating 3 test users, adding a bunch of sites, you may notice which ones, some with credits, some without, and surfing on my regular account, just to see what happens, watching for bad sites, and so on, I can surf non-stop for hours, either with Satellite or Dial-up, so, I see no problem with zero balance sites. I can tell you this though, we can get all the credits we need here, to keep a healthy amount of credits allocated to our sites, so, zero balance shouldn’t be a problem. I hope this helps! Discuss this here!
