TrafficComplex members are getting the job done!

October 09, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: Contest Info, Traffic Exchange, Website Promotion, Whats New? No Comments →

traffic-stats-record TrafficComplex members are getting the job done! The records are being broken, this screen-shot is from a few days ago but is a good representation of what is going on here! We are staying pretty consistent, Great Job!

As I promised, I sent out a bonus to everyone for a job well done! The actual high water mark is 314,186 Sites Shown, so, where can we go from here? Well, I imagine after all of this effort dedicated to TrafficComplex, many of you may need to focus on your other traffic exchanges so we could have a bit of a slow-down, but I hope not!

The next goal is 350,000, that is an extra 35,874 or just over 5000 a day more to get there. Those of you that are super-surfers, great job, but pretty much everybody pitched in, those of you that didn’t, you know who you are. Just imagine, if ALL of us surf the way that many have, that 350K hits will be easy, so, come on everybody, log in, allocate credits, and surf! We can do it!

Traffic is exploding, keep it up, we are breaking records! Go TEAM!

October 01, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: All-Star Surfers, Contest Info, Traffic Exchange, Whats New? No Comments →

nuclear-blast Traffic is exploding, keep it up, we are breaking records! Go TEAM!I noticed a few days ago that traffic has gone up, way up! Now is the time for everybody to come surf and we will hit a new milestone!

The sky is the limit, and we have set off a nuclear blast of traffic! If you are a member and have not allocated credits to your site, you are missing out!

Traffic has more than quadrupled in the last few days and if we all keep working, we will set a new record!

The picture at left should help explain it, but if you are not a member, then you are missing it! Sign-up, surf and get traffic!

For a very limited time, I am increasing the bonuses, like through the weekend, sign up, refer, and go nuts!

Yeah, I am crazy, just looked at the stats and went nuts! ALL BONUSES are up, from now until I sober up, probably Monday, new members will get a special sign up bonus, AFTER surfing 100 pages, until that, your sites will not be activated and you will not see the credits! If you surf 100 pages, you will get the regular 3000 credit bonus, BUT, if you surf 200 pages after signing up, I will slap you with 5000 credits!

NEW MEMBERS THAT DO NOT SURF, WILL NOT BEACTIVATED!

For our current Team members that get referrals during this time, that also surf, there will be a special bonus for you too! NO CHEATING, I am watching!

Now is the time, get surfin’ get referrin’ and lets all get more traffic!

Members get an e-mail, if you want to be notified with the post, just subscribe by e-mail, it isn’t as  fast, but FEEDBURNER is a lot prettier!

The Tortoise and the Hare: What is better, fast traffic or slow traffic?

August 22, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: Contest Info, Rules, Traffic Exchange, Website Promotion, Whats New? 4 Comments →

tortoise-hare The Tortoise and the Hare: What is better, fast traffic or slow traffic? The reason we are all here surfing is to increase traffic to our websites, right? There is one thing that many people may not know, but here it is.

Yes, more traffic is a good thing, but which traffic is better, fast or slow? Fast being visitors that stay on your site for only a few seconds, slow being visitors that stay longer. Which one is best?

Well, if you are looking for statistics that show a lot of visitors, then it really doesn’t matter, but, if you want Google and the other search engines to really respect you, you need both!

Quantity is important, but as usual, quality is always better. As an example, if a person visits your site 6 times, but for only 5 seconds each visit, it makes your site look less important than if that same person visited only once, but for 30 seconds or longer.

There are many hundreds of traffic exchanges out there, all with varied timers, some as fast as 3 seconds, some as slow as a minute, and then you have the manual exchanges. If you have ever surfed a manual site, which many are now “Hover” exchanges, which means you don’t have to click, just move your mouse over the image, and it restarts the timer, then you know that many times you forget and end up staying on that site for several minutes!

So, this presents a bit of a problem, we all want a lot of traffic for as little work as possible, and at the same time we want it fast! I know, I am guilty too, and more page views in the statistics looks good, but it is not as effective in the long run. When I set up this site, I had planned on keeping the timer between 10-15 seconds, but after experimenting, I found that when I moved the timer faster, more people showed up to surf, when I set it slower, people stopped surfing, so, what do we do here?

At this time, I have the timer set at 15 seconds, that will give us all better quality but less quantity. I know that will make some people unhappy, but, at this time we have many members, and if we all surf, it will improve the quality of our traffic even more, and I feel that we are ready to make this move to the benefit of us all. Besides, it will give us some incentive to surf even more when I drop the timer down a notch. However, this traffic exchange belongs to all of us that surf, so, if you want the timer to go back to 5 seconds, and you are a regular surfer, send me an email, use the contact form, or whatever, and let me know. If I get enough response, I will change it. At the same time, if you want the timer set slower, tell me that, or, if you like it set at 15 seconds, tell me that as well. Remember, it is up to you to tell me what you want, it is our traffic exchange, and those that surf and make it all work deserve to have a say in how it works! I need your input, I can’t read your minds, so take the time to drop me a quick note, let’s all work together on this!

Traffic Complex is having a SURF PARTY! You are all invited!

July 31, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: Contest Info, Traffic Exchange, Website Promotion, Whats New? No Comments →

traffic Traffic Complex is having a SURF PARTY! You are all invited! What is a SURF PARTY? Well, just like any party, it is a gathering of friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and even strangers, all with one goal, have a good time!

So, if you combine that with a traffic exchange, you get a gathering of people having a good time while exchanging traffic! That is why we are all here, right?

I know that now you are wondering how we can have a “good time” while surfing? With each of us in our own little world, busy multitasking or whatever they call it these days, some of you may be thinking, “we don’t all know each other”, “Oh, help me, I might have to make a friend or something”, or even worse, come on, get over it, LETS PARTY!

Here is what we are going to do, it’s easy. Starting tonight, Thursday, all the way through Monday, the surfbar bonuses are going to be set at changing intervals, with a variety of bonus credit amounts, this will keep you on your toes! However, if you pay attention, you could get a biggie!

Why am I doing this? Well, there are a few of us that already know each other, and we all work hard to surf regularly, and I even heard that some have had personal contests to see who could surf the most! Now that is what I am talking about! Since friends hang out anyway, and I want everyone here to be friends, and to help each other improve the status of their websites. I thought, “why not have a party”?

This is why we have a Discussion Board and Complaint Department, not to mention the Quick Chat section of the site, so, let’s use them! Most, if not all of you, have an Instant Messenger of some sort, so you can contact your friends, and get them to meet here, and if they are not members, they can sign up, and EVERYBODY SURFS!

Since I am almost always on-line, all-night, anyway, regardless of what time you come by, I will probably be here, except for FRIDAY NIGHT from about 4pm until about 10pm CST, that is my weekly party with a buddy, but when I leave there, I will be here, to continue the party will everybody here!

Here is where it gets good, while I am gone, the surfbar bonuses will remain steady, but when I get back, they will start changing! How will you know what is going on? Meet me at the CHAT! I will even have the CHAT page in rotation so that you can see whats going on, so keep your eyes open!

Here is a tip, when you go to the CHAT you don’t have to register, and it will automatically assign you a user number, but, you can change it if you will simply type /nick yourusernameandnumber, into the message box, then hit the send button, it will change it to whatever you put there, so, be creative, but use your member number from the surf, so that I know who you are! Here is an example, 61ButtHead, is who you want to be, so you type /nick 61ButtHead, get it? Oh,user #61 is me, so I am not calling anyone a name!

I hope to see everybody come by this weekend, and if you find no one there, just change your username, and type a simple hello, when I see that you have been there, I will add some credits to your account, just to thank you for participating!

Oh, almost forgot, I have gotten a couple of emails that the surf rotation is stopping on you, let me help you out a bit.

First off, if you have a bad Antivirus/Spyware/Adware program, you may have a bug! I use the FREE program, Spybot Search and Destroy, to check my machine every few days! When you follow this link, you will see a request for donations, just scroll down, but if you can, DONATE! Yes, I have made a donation, probably two or three times, these guys ROCK! This program even has caught things that Norton missed! If you do have something, and the Spybot finds it but can’t get rid of it, their website is full of tips! I’ll put it this way, saved my machine twice! Once, after paying a PRO to fix it but he couldn’t, I found the answer on their site!

If you ever get to looking for a new Antivirus program, this is a great one, a little more expensive maybe, but it is worth it, I got a free year through my ISP, but will soon be paying like 3 bucks a month for it.

If you are an experienced surfer, you may already know this, but maybe this will help. You need to delete your Cache, or Temp files, along with the other junk that builds up from surfing, Cache/Temp, Cookies, History. However, DO NOT DELETE your Form Data or Passwords! You may want to save your cookies too, but I delete all of that other junk every time I re-start my computer, and I do that several times a day as well! (Go to your Internet Options to do this) Why?

Every time you visit a web page, your computer basically takes a picture of it, so that the next time you visit that site again, it will load faster. What happens is, that stuff builds up and makes your computer go slower because it is busy looking to see if it already has a cache/temp file of that site, if it has a cookie from that site, and when was the last time you were there! That is a lot of extra effort, and since auto-surfing is looking at hundreds of pages, over and over, it causes a problem and brakes the rotation by taking too long to reply to the server and drops the connection to your machine! Happens to me with dial up sometimes because the dialup is slow, but I can see that happening.

You may have gotten an email from an admin at another exchange telling you that it is because of sites with zero credits, and they may be right, but I have tested TrafficComplex by creating 3 test users, adding a bunch of sites, you may notice which ones, some with credits, some without, and surfing on my regular account, just to see what happens, watching for bad sites, and so on, I can surf non-stop for hours, either with Satellite or Dial-up, so, I see no problem with zero balance sites. I can tell you this though, we can get all the credits we need here, to keep a healthy amount of credits allocated to our sites, so, zero balance shouldn’t be a problem. I hope this helps! Discuss this here!

TrafficComplex: We are growing steady, and traffic is great! Thanks Team!

July 24, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: Contest Info, Traffic Exchange No Comments →

trafficcomplex-stats-07-17-23 TrafficComplex: We are growing steady, and traffic is great! Thanks Team! Here we go again, another week gone by and our stats are getting better! We are now up to almost 60 members and the referrals are coming in!

Yes, as is with all traffic exchanges, we have those that sign up yet do not surf. Why do they sign up? This I can’t say, but even with those members that don’t get involved, things are moving steadily forward and we have some great members on our team!

We still haven’t hit that 150K mark, but look at how close we are! 148023 sites shown! With our membership at about sixty, that comes out to around 2500 per member, per seven days! That is about 350 pageviews per member, per day! Which, with 169 sites, is just over 2 visits per site per member!

Keep up the good work team, if we keep up at this rate, we could bust that 150K mark with little trouble, again, thanks for surfing!

TrafficComplex is back, but the mystery continues!

July 17, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: Contest Info, Whats New? No Comments →

what-happened TrafficComplex is back, but the mystery continues! Many of you may have noticed that the traffic exchange was down for about 24 hours, maybe you are as curious as I am as to why this happened, and what actually happened. I have no idea!

Let me tell you what I do know. There are many scripts available out there that do many different things and most of them get encrypted so that their code can’t be copied or resold, and IonCube is one of the tools that is used to do this. Once the code has been encrypted, you have to have what is called a loader, sorta like a magic decoder ring, that enables this code to be read by the server. Now, with this explained, here is what happened.

For some reason, the server could not read the code, even though the loader was there! This site is exactly like it was before, all I did was upload the code and the same loaders back to the server, and deleted and recreated the same file that tells the server to look for this loader, but it is exactly the same as it was, so you tell me what happened!

Anyhow, with all of that out of the way, many of you have come back and surfed already, but not everybody. we of course had no traffic during that 24 hours, so our stats went to heck, but that is ok, it will get back to normal soon.

Since I am writing this now, there won’t be a Friday post, this is it, so read carefully. The timer has been turned down, but the surfbar bonuses are still the same, this seems to be working out for everyone, so watch that surfbar for bonuses and build up some credits!

Happy 4th of July!

July 04, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: Contest Info, Traffic Exchange, Whats New? No Comments →

Happy Fourth of July!Friday gets here quick, doesn’t it? Well, this is also a Holiday, that makes this Friday even more special! This weekend, we have many of our members away for the Holiday so traffic is moving a bit slow. This requires something special for the rest of us who are here!

Every new member, that surfs, will get an extra bonus, and every old member that I find surfing from now through the weekend will also get a bonus! So, get busy, the more you surf the more likelly it will be that I can find you!

Have a great weekend, and Happy Birthday America!

Here we are, it is Friday again! TrafficComplex members are breaking records!

June 27, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: Contest Info, Traffic Exchange, Website Promotion, Whats New? No Comments →

trafficcomplex-stats-6-27-08 Here we are, it is Friday again! TrafficComplex members are breaking records!Ok, we did it! Just as I checked the stats, it passed the 100,000 mark! That was our goal for last week, and we did it with room to spare, there are still several hours of surfing left today!

Since no one sent in a screen shot, and it was a team effort, everybody wins! I am going to post the bonus credits as soon as I finish this post!

Hey, these numbers are nothing like the big guys out there, but hey, this is only after what, 20 days, I don’t count the first day, the 7th, but look at us go!

We are getting a lot of referrals, one member here probably has gotten close to 10 sign-ups! Great job!

During a spot check, I saw one that was a referral of a referral, and they were both racking up the credits! Great work everybody!

So, what is our goal for this coming week? well, since the last week we had about 20,000 pages shown, and this week will be well over 100,000, lets set a goal of another 10 good members, and shoot for 150,000 page views! that will be what, with about 30 members now, 40 members should be able to get it done!

I am giving everybody a 1,000 credit bonus now, we make the next goal, it will be even better! So, get out your referral pages, surf like maniacs, we can get all the traffic we need! As always on Friday night, the surfbar bonuses are cranked up, so let’s get surfing!!

Thanks again for all of your hard work, if there were a surf championship, I would definitely enter this team!

P.S. Anybody that sends me a screenshot of their stats, will get a surprise bonus! Make sure to save the image with your user ID number at least so I know who you are!

Teamwork: What it takes to build a community! TrafficComplex has it!

June 22, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: Contest Info, Traffic Exchange, Website Promotion, Whats New? 1 Comment →

construction-teamwork1 Teamwork: What it takes to build a community! TrafficComplex has it! Hey everybody! As I am writing this, after just checking a few stats, there is one thing I can tell you, this traffic exchange has teamwork! We have many new members, which sent about 40-50,000 bonus credits, to our referring members! Not to mention the per page viewed bonuses, right now set to .2 credits for each page view! Now is the time to join other traffic exchanges, publish your referral page, and recruit some new members!   Why that, do you ask? Simple, the fewer opportunities there are to choose from, the more likely it is that you will be the one to get the referral!

Don’t forget to bring your referral page from that traffic exchange, and add it to your list, maybe you will get a referral there too?

I have my referral page out there! So far it is on about 100 exchanges, although it is still not approved on most of those, and yes, I surf those sites regularly and have for a long time, anyway, the point being, you can get in at the ground level, and later, when it is your team members, that are generating massive credits for you and each other!

On the first level, along with the 5,000 credit bonus, every time someone you refer directly, surfs 5 pages, you get a credit, that is a .2 per page view rate, as a bonus, forever!

When that referral gets a referral, first, you get 500 credits and when that new team member surfs 10 pages, you will get a credit, and when that member, refers someone you will get 250 credits and again, every time they surf 20 pages, you will get a credit, the next one, and from there on, you will get 125 credits up front and for every 20 pages a credit! So, if, during the early days of this site, you get your referral pages out first, you will get lots and lots of free credits! I’ll put the rate list below, if that was as confusing to you as it was to me! I just reread it and got dizzy!

  1. Level one Referral: 5,000 credits and for the pages they view a rate of .2 or 5:1.
  2. Level two Referral: 500 credits and a .1 rate or 10:1.
  3. Level three Referral:250 credits and a .05 rate or 20:1.
  4. Level four through ten Referral: 125 credits and the same .05 rate or 20:1.

The point of this story is that we have some great members, working hard, long and often, thanks!

Don’t forget, send me those screenshots for the last 7 days of pages viewed on monday, and every monday from now on, and the winner will get a bonus! Don’t try and cheat please, I am watching, and will verify, looks like we’ll have a tight race this week, there are a few of you kicking butt! When you send the screen-shot, title the image with your member number and user name, not your email address.

Ok, what the heck happened? I fixed it!

June 21, 2008 By: CarpetGuy Category: Contest Info, Traffic Exchange, Whats New? No Comments →

what-the Ok, what the heck happened? I fixed it!Ok, sorry if I made somebody mad! Obviously, I screwed up! We went from hundreds of pageviews per hour to almost none! Ok, I get it, i will change the surfbar bonuses! Hey, I surf everyday, I surf hundreds of sites, the thought that I could surf one site for like 250 pageviews, and get 5,000 credits for it, well, that would rock my world! However, nobody else seems to like the idea, and everybody went away!

This calls for a change, from this point forward, till monday sometime, I am going to fix my mistake! Lets try something like 10 pageviews for 100 credits! What do you think? No, I screwed up, so I’ll set it to 10 pages, 250 credits!

Go to the complaint department, and let me know, I have started a forum with the title, “What motivates you to surf?” There you can tell me what you want, what kind of bonuses will get you to surf? Tell me and I will make it happen!

By the way, I have no idea who these people in the picture are, but that is the look I can imagine those that didn’t like my bonuses, having on their faces! Except her, she kinda looks happy about it, buzzed maybe, but she is smiling.

Anyway, It is changed, surf your brains out!
